The Medical Profession Doesn’t Want You To Know About Alternatives To Embryo-Destroying IVF

Dr. Monica Minjeur quoted in The Federalist

“Political and religious views aside, RRM is “good medicine and good health care,” said Dr. Monica Minjeur, IIRRM U.S. director of communications and development.

“This is all hands on deck,” added Dr. Tracey Parnell. “We are in a fertility crisis; you would think that any physicians with expertise in this field would be a welcome addition.”

Dueling approaches to infertility vie for Congress' attention

Dr. Monica Minjeur quoted in NBC News

“Representatives for the International Institute for Restorative Reproductive Medicine said their briefing was not meant to be an anti-IVF presentation, but instead an opportunity to bring awareness to their practices while correcting misinformation. The statements followed similar ones made by the institute in July, when it called for “improved collegiality to better serve patients.”

“The biggest piece of misinformation is that we’re just waving a magic wand and saying, ‘Go eat your vegetables and you’ll get pregnant next month,’” Dr. Monica Minjeur, the Institute’s U.S. director of communications and development, told NBC News after the briefing.”

This ‘natural’ infertility treatment is backed by Maha. Is it the right’s path to limiting IVF?

Dr. Monica Minjeur quoted in The Guardian

“Established in 2000, the International Institute for Restorative Reproductive Medicine (IIRRM), the pre-eminent group championing RRM, maintains a registry of RRM clinicians and collects data about its techniques’ efficacy.

Dr Monica Minjeur, who was trained in family medicine and serves as the US director of communications and development for the International Institute for Restorative Reproductive Medicine, said RRM is “not an anti-IVF movement”. As far as Minjeur knows, no one in Congress has approached the institute to discuss RRM.

“We will never say: ‘IVF should go away.’ We just mostly want people to realize: ‘Hey, there is another option,’ because so many couples are told IVF is your only option,” said Minjeur…”

As Trump Weighs I.V.F., Republicans Back New ‘Natural’ Approach to Infertility

Dr. Monica Minjeur quoted in the New York Times

“A small group began reaching out to physicians who practice restorative reproductive medicine, eager to learn more about the field and what kind of support the practitioners could use from the federal government.

“Honestly, it was a little surprising,” said Monica Minjeur, the U.S. director of communications for the International Institute for Restorative Reproductive Medicine, a professional body created by a small group of physicians who coined the term in 2000. Dr. Minjeur and others had been working for years toward getting the field officially recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties, but the term was still largely unknown.

“I had a Google alert set up for ‘restorative reproductive medicine’ for a few years,” she said. “And honestly forgot I even had it.”

Then Dr. Minjeur and her colleagues learned that the approach was the subject of legislation proposed in the Senate.”

Reproductive Health Advocates want to ride the MAHA wave without drowning

Dr. Monica Minjeur quoted in NOTUS article

“Advocates for restorative reproductive medicine say it offers a cheap, holistic way to treat reproductive problems like repeated miscarriages, endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome. The MAHA movement seems to agree: Last month, leaders of the International Institute for Restorative Reproductive Medicine took part in a roundtable discussion on women’s health and fertility hosted by the MAHA Institute and The Heritage Foundation.”

Opinion: Women’s health deserves more than a political debate

Dr. Monica Minjeur in the Cedar Rapids Gazette

“In today’s society, women’s reproductive health is too often reduced to a political debate, framed within the narrow confines of over-simplified choices: Allow birth control or don’t. Allow abortion or don’t. Allow IVF or don’t. These stark divisions minimize the complexity and nuance of women’s health, missing the deeper truth that women, even from a young age, possess a profound understanding of their own bodies. This intrinsic knowledge should not be subjected to political tug-of-war. Instead, the focus should shift to empowering women through education and supporting health care professionals who aim to teach women about their reproductive health in a more comprehensive and meaningful way.”
